In the movie’s summary, we read that the fearless CNN camera operator, Margaret Moth, courageously places the audience within the heart of conflict. However, when an unfortunate injury disrupts her craving for risk and excitement, Moth needs to summon the resilience to persevere.
Moth kicked off her professional journey in the 1970s as a news camera operator. In 1980, she shifted base to the U.S., working for KHOU in Houston, Texas, before joining CNN in 1990. As a war photographer, she documented the Persian Gulf War, the unrest following Indira Gandhi’s assassination, the civil conflict in Tbilisi, Georgia, the Bosnian War, and numerous other conflicts.
In 1992, during filming at Sniper Alley in Sarajevo, Moth endured grievous injuries. Remarkably, he persisted in his work there and throughout journalism despite these severe wounds. Sadly, Moth passed away in 2010 after a long struggle with colon cancer.
