As a lifelong admirer of the silver screen and an ardent fan of comedic greatness, I can hardly contain my excitement over Wandering Planet Toys‘ upcoming 1:12 scale Laurel & Hardy action figures! Growing up with these timeless masters of mirth, their antics were a staple in our family movie nights.

In the near future, ComingSoon will reveal a special sneak peek of the new 1:12 scale action figures by Wandering Planet Toys, which are modeled after the legendary comedy duo Laurel & Hardy.

These figures represent the initial, 1:12 scale, completely movable action figures inspired by the iconic Golden Age of Hollywood pair. They are set to arrive slightly before the duo’s centennial celebration.

6-inch premium action figures come with display stands, 5 sets of swap-out hands, two distinct facial expressions, and their signature bowler hats too. Special items included are a movie clapperboard (for Oliver Hardy) and a paper sack (for Stan Laurel).

How to get the Laurel & Hardy action figures?

Wandering Planet Toys are launching their figurines through a Kickstarter fundraising event. This campaign is currently active, giving enthusiasts an opportunity to buy either Full-Color or classic Black & White versions of the figures. Additionally, there’s a unique “Studio Special” tier for backers, offering both figure sets, a special Laurel & Hardy 100th Anniversary enamel pin (exclusive to Kickstarter), and an exclusive Laurel & Hardy metal lunchbox only available through this campaign.

According to Gavin Hignight, the co-founder of Wandering Planet, both Stan Laurel, who hailed from a British vaudeville family, and Oliver ‘Babe’ Hardy, a comedic talent from rural Georgia, arrived in early Hollywood with aspirations of appearing in films. They each built noteworthy careers independently, but their true legend was forged when they teamed up as a duo in Hal Roach’s short films.

Known as one of the most enduringly iconic comedy pairs ever, Laurel and Hardy frequently come to mind. Their fame spanned from the 1920s through the 1950s, and they were celebrated for their brand of physical humor – slapstick comedy. During their partnership, they starred in a total of 107 films together.
