As a seasoned gamer and collector of all things nostalgic, I couldn’t help but feel a rush of excitement when I stumbled upon the Alien: Funko Series 1 Digital Pop announcement! Having grown up with the original Alien films, the prospect of adding these iconic characters to my digital and physical collection is truly exhilarating.
Upcoming reveal from ComingSoon features an exclusive sneak peek at the first series of the “Alien: Funko Digital Pops”, which is a fresh addition to the digital world of collectible pop figures by Funko.
When does the Alien: Funko Series 1 Digital Pop release?
The debut of the digital Funko Series 1: Alien Edition is scheduled for September 24, 2024, and it will showcase iconic figures such as Ripley, Ash, Freddy Funko with Chestburster, among others. This initial series seems to concentrate on the original Alien films, so fans of these classic Alien installments might recognize familiar characters in the mix.
You have the option to buy collectibles in either standard or premium digital bundles, with a set number of each pack produced. There are 18,000 standard packs priced at $9.99 each, containing five Digital Pops. Meanwhile, premium packs, costing $29.99, offer 17 Digital Pops and a total production of 24,000 packs. Additionally, every purchase of a Digital Pop comes with the chance to uncover a rare digital collectible that can be exchanged for a matching, exclusive physical Pop! Collectible.
In the initial digital launch of the Funko Series 1 based on Alien, there are six Pop! figurines up for redemption. These include Ripley armed with a flamethrower, Spacesuit Ripley with an Egg, Ash, an Xenomorph, Pilot Engineer, and Freddy Funko holding a Chestburster. Notably, this is the first time that Freddy Funko, who represents the Pop! figurines, has been featured in a crossover with Alien.
The Alien: Funko Series 1 Digital Pop drop can be purchased on the Droppp.io platform.
