What happens in the La Pietà trailer?
As an ardent admirer, I can’t help but express my excitement over the trailer, which unfolds the heart-wrenching tale of Mateo and his beloved mother, Lili. Their bond has been unbreakable for years, but when Lili receives a devastating diagnosis, their relationship is pushed to its limits in ways I never imagined.
On January 17, 2025, the film “La Pietà” will be available for viewing on Video on Demand (VOD), digitally, and through the streaming service Film Movement Plus.

The movie titled “La Pietà” was created and supervised by Eduardo Casanova. The main cast includes Ángela Molina, Manel Llunell, Ana Polvorosa, and Antonio Durán ‘Morris’. Additionally, Álex de la Iglesia, Carolina Bang, Florencia Franco, Jimena Monteoliva, and Antonio Pérez are all involved in the production of this film.
In the film’s summary, it is stated that Mateo and his mother Lili (Ángela Molina) have been extremely close for years. They live together, often answering questions on each other’s behalf, and spend almost every moment together. However, their strong bond is tested when Lili receives a grave health diagnosis. With the time Lili has left dwindling, they push the boundaries of their complicated mother-son relationship to unprecedented extremes.
