Tovino Thomas is gearing up for his upcoming movie release, Ajayante Randam Moshanam (ARM), which fans have been eagerly anticipating. In a recent interview with TopMob, he discussed ARM and also touched upon the possibility of a sequel to his successful film, Minnal Murali.
In a thorough discussion, Tovino Thomas mentioned that his director, Basil Joseph, is currently occupied with acting. Being a busy actor in Kerala, Basil Joseph is at present acting in a film I am producing. Soon, he will commence his next directorial project, but it’s not Minnal Murali 2.
The actor commented, “Give him all the time he needs to discover the perfect script for Minnal Murali 2. We didn’t rush Minnal Murali 1; it simply unfolded naturally, and we don’t intend to rush Minnal Murali 2 either. If it’s meant to be made, it will be.”
Additionally, the actor was questioned about transforming the film into a connected movie series, to which they responded, “It’s likely we’ll develop that cinematic world, or perhaps Jyothi Kaavu (the village in ARM) could serve as the foundation for such a universe. In fact, Basil is also featured in this movie during the 1990s segment of ARM.”

It’s noteworthy that the creators of Minnal Murali have unveiled a cinematic universe they call the Weekend Cinematic Universe. This universe is set to debut with Minnal Murali as its first release, while the following film in the series will be announced imminently. Dhyan Sreenivasan will take the lead role, with Indraneel Gopeekrishnan and Rahul G at the helm of directing it.
