Exclusive First Look at Super7 Ol’ Dirty Bastard Figure of Wu-Tang Rapper

As a gamer with a soft spot for music and action figures that embody the spirit of cultural icons, I’m utterly thrilled about Super7’s new ODB Deluxe Figure! Growing up in the ’90s, Wu-Tang Clan was an integral part of my formative years, and Ol’ Dirty Bastard (ODB) was a larger-than-life figure whose unique style and energy left an indelible mark on hip-hop.

As a diehard fan, I’m thrilled to share that ComingSoon is giving us an exclusive sneak peek at the brand new Super7 ODB Deluxe Figure, inspired by the legendary member of the iconic hip-hop collective, Wu-Tang Clan.

The new figure is inspired by ODB, also known as Ol’ Dirty Bastard, one of the founding members of the iconic hip-hop group the Wu-Tang Clan. The rapper was seen as one of the bigger forces in music prior to his untimely passing at the age of 35 from an accidental drug overdose in 2004.

What comes with the Ol’ Dirty Bastard figure?

This toy is a 7-inch replica, boasting 18 movable joints, meticulous sculpting, and superior paint job detailing. It’s designed based on the cover art from ODB’s first album, Return to the 36 Chambers: The Dirty Version, which hit the market in 1995. Accompanying this toy, Super7’s ODB set also includes a microphone and ID card accessory, mirroring the cover design of his album.

Known for his brash and sometimes vulgar performance style, the rapper ODB (Russell Tyrone Jones) contributed to three Wu-Tang Clan albums before his passing: their iconic debut Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers, 1993), its sequel Wu-Tang Forever (1997), and The W (2000). As a solo artist, ODB released two albums, with the last one being “N—- Please” in 1999. A third studio album, titled “A Son Unique,” was under development at the time of his death but has yet to be released.

ODB’s action figure is part of a lineup that Super7 has created to pay tribute to musicians. Previously, they have made figures for legendary rappers like KRS-One, AC/DC’s Bon Scott, and even a scaled-down version of ODB under their ReAction figures brand, among others.
