This month, the intriguing science fiction film “Creep Box” will hit theaters, helmed by director Patrick Biesemans. In the lead role, you’ll find Geoffrey Cantor, a familiar face from his portrayal of Mitchell Ellison in Netflix’s Daredevil and The Punisher series.

What is the Creep Box movie about?

The summary of this movie revolves around an investigator from a mysterious tech company who creates devices enabling interaction with the departed. He’s currently working on two cases – a murder and a suicide – in search of answers. As mental instability sets in, his fixation deepens.

In addition to Cantor, the cast includes Sean Mahon, Ian Lithgow, Kati Kuang, and Dan Cordle. Noah Lang, Blake Hoss, Bobby Campbell, and Derek Rubin are the film’s producers.

Previously shown at various film events like the Trieste Science + Fiction Festival (receiving a nomination for the Asteroid Award), the Philip K Dick Film Festival (claiming the Best Feature award), the Boston Sci-Fi Film Festival, the Another Hole in the Head Film Festival Shockfest (nominated for Best Screenplay), the Peekskill Film Festival, and the International Horror & Sci-Fi Film Festival.

In our current era, overflowing with technology meant to bring us together, there’s an increasing realization that we might be more detached from one another than we care to acknowledge, according to Biesemans, the director of The Last Treasure Hunt (2016). This feeling of disconnection is strikingly evident in Creep Box. Moreover, it tackles themes related to coping with loss and the diverse paths people take when facing grief.
