“In the story ‘Bo Nan Za’, lone wanderers navigate the scorched landscapes of a tranquil metropolis, guided by dreams and haunted by specters. As they traverse the deserted city streets, they become ensnared in a subtle bondage, their identities blurring with the passage of time. Some of these figures inhabit a contemporary world marked by new boundaries. On a journey through day and night, they stumble upon peculiar rituals that define their existence. Meanwhile, an urban vagabond uncovers hidden paths within the city’s slumbering heart. As the ebb and flow of city life unfolds, a shift in roles may be imminent.”
In this film, you’ll see Simona Filipova, Stoyan Dimitrov, Aleksandra Spasova, Biser Marinov, and Tony Sulzata as part of the stellar lineup.
In a statement, Getov described Bo Nan Za’s film as subtly telling a story through a script that is quiet and challenging to conventional dialogue. He explained that the movie has an unusual cinematic tempo, reminiscent of the mysterious poetry and symbolic themes found in western films, while also embodying the compassionate approach of documentary-style filmmaking.
Getov produces the movie alongside Delyan Kaloyanov and Ivan Vatsov.
On September 10, 2024, the film “Bo Nan Za” will become available for digital streaming across all North American internet, cable, and satellite services, in addition to being released on DVD. This distribution is handled by Freestyle Digital Media.
