What happens in the Before clip?

The scene is taken from the fifth installment of the show, named “Folie à Deux.” Here, Crystal’s character Eli encounters a new client, Noah, and requests them to examine a couple of sketches created by a child. Initially, the child stays silent, but when Eli displays a picture of his personal farmhouse, the child exhibits peculiar behavior.

In a recent turn of events, Dr. Crystal – a child psychiatrist who has just lost his wife, Lynn (played by Judith Light) – meets a troubled boy named Noah (portrayed by Jacobi Jupe). There appears to be an eerie link between Noah and Eli’s past. As Eli tries to assist Noah, their enigmatic connection intensifies, stirring up haunting recollections and uncovering disquieting truths about the past. The series also features Rosie Perez, Maria Dizzia, and Ava Lalezarzadeh as part of the main cast.

Starting from October 25, 2024, this show will debut exclusively on Apple TV+. Over the following weeks, all ten episodes will be rolled out, culminating in the finale on December 20, 2024.
