As a music enthusiast and someone who grew up listening to the soulful sounds of Texas bands, I was deeply saddened by the untimely passing of Chadwick Murray, the charismatic frontman of Bastards of Soul. Having followed their music since my teenage years, I can honestly say that they were one of the most unique and passionate groups I’ve ever come across. Their music resonated with me on a deep level, and I still remember the first time I heard their powerful vocals and infectious rhythms.

Under the direction of Paul Levatino, the documentary film made its global debut at the Sun Valley Film Festival in 2024. The West Coast premiere of this movie will take place at the Vashon Island Film Festival on August 9, 2024, starting at 1:30 p.m.
