They’ve unveiled the first official information on a new character for Season 3, hinting that she will be quite attractive. In a recent Q&A session with fans on Discord, the developers of The First Descendant have disclosed an upcoming significant enhancement for dyes, which could potentially arrive as soon as March.
The First Descendant dev reveals incoming dye improvements
Among the standout features of The First Descendant lies its exceptional customization. Boasting a wide array of stunning character skins, these can also be personalized even more by applying various paint or dye options.
Recently, Nexon held a question-and-answer session on Discord with the TFD community. Many of the questions aimed at the TFD producer Lee focused on the dye system, and the producer hinted that enhancements are forthcoming.
A user inquired about the possibility of customizing character’s underwear with dyes. In response, Lee mentioned that future updates will focus on improving dye capabilities, including “More precise identification of dyeable sections” and “Addressing areas that cannot be dyed.” He expressed his excitement for you to anticipate these changes!
The producer mentioned in response to a query that enhancements are being made to guarantee no part of any skin remains undyed. Additionally, it was disclosed that new dyes are being continuously developed, and fans might observe these dye upgrades “as soon as March,” which seems to be for Season 3.
Although completely personalizing every part of a skin sounds amazing, the creator also mentioned potential enhancements for TFD down the line. Among these suggestions are Nexon investigating a novel melee weapon system, and potentially integrating unique patterns into the dye options.
Regarding visual customization, Nexon is considering enabling users to eliminate the Head-Up Display (HUD) and User Interface (UI) for a more film-like aesthetic. However, it seems that these plans are consistently being moved lower on their list of priorities.
