Ewan McGregor Wants To Return As Obi-Wan Kenobi

As a lifelong Star Wars enthusiast who has witnessed the journey of Obi-Wan Kenobi through Ewan McGregor’s masterful portrayal, I can confidently say that his return would be an event of cosmic proportions!

Among all characters from the Star Wars series, Obi-Wan Kenobi is undoubtedly one of the favorites. There isn’t another actor that fans can imagine portraying him better than Ewan McGregor.

In almost all his appearances as the character, he gives it his all, working with all the tools given to him. What’s more, is that McGregor really enjoys playing the character, as he emphasized it in lots of different interviews.

The Return Of Obi-Wan Kenobi

In a recent interview with Variety, Ewan McGregor talked about his career and everything he has achieved so far.

As the topic of Star-Wars, and his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi came up, McGregor told Variety:

I really do hope we get a chance to do another one. Between where we ended off in the series and when Alec Guinness comes on screen with Luke Skywalker, I think there’s another few stories to tell in there.

During a recent conversation with Hayden Christensen (Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader), he opened up about his cherished co-star and close friend.

He said:

If it means that I got to do more with Ewan, then that’s a no-brainer, but I really hope that he continues with the character. Just as a fan, it’s so exciting to get to watch him play Obi-Wan – he’s just so good at it.

McGregor has expressed his desire for a second season of the show “Obi-Wan Kenobi”, yet he remains uncertain about the logistics.

Regardless, I believe he and all the enthusiasts would derive tremendous pleasure from this encounter, and I eagerly anticipate his return as Obi-Wan Kenobi once more.
