In April 2023, Grubb stated that Hi-Fi Rush did not generate the required revenue, leading to the eventual failure of its marketing strategy.

Although the game garnered favorable criticisms, insufficient promotion may have led to disappointing sales, ultimately forcing Tango Gameworks to close its doors in May 2024.
