Amazon unveiled a fresh sneak peek trailer for Étoile, offering a glimpse into the forthcoming ballet drama on Prime Video, produced by Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino.
What happens in the Étoile trailer?
In a fresh narrative style, this new show explores the tale of dancers and the creative personnel from two globally acclaimed ballet troupes – one based in New York City and another in Paris – as they endeavor to rescue their companies by making an audacious move: exchanging their leading performers.
Star premieres on April 24, 2025, with all eight episodes debuting simultaneously only on Amazon Prime Video.

The initial version of this series takes place in both New York and Paris, focusing on the dancers and artistic personnel from two globally acclaimed ballet companies as they embark on a risky venture to preserve their esteemed organizations by exchanging their top performers. This is according to the official synopsis.
The series “Étoile” features Luke Kirby, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Lou de Laâge, Gideon Glick, David Alvarez, Ivan du Pontavice, Taïs Vinolo, David Haig, LaMay Zhang, and Simon Callow in its cast. Yanic Truesdale is expected to make recurring appearances throughout the series.
Amy Sherman-Palladino is primarily recognized for developing the critically acclaimed Amazon Prime series ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel‘, with her husband, Dan Palladino, contributing as a writer and director for the show. In addition to this, Amy is also the mastermind behind the popular comedy-drama ‘Gilmore Girls’, where once again, Dan lent his writing skills.
