Hold onto your hats, folks! A certain Chinese gentleman, Hu Lezhi, has set the crypto-world ablaze by torching a whopping $1.3 million of Ethereum (ETH)! But, this ain’t your run-of-the-mill transaction, oh no! It’s just a piece of a puzzling, extraordinary series of transfers that’s got the crypto-community scratching their heads.
Now, Lezhi, a self-proclaimed programmer and entrepreneur, claims he’s been shadowed and controlled by a secretive group since birth. He discovered this chicanery in October 2022, and it’s been downhill ever since. In messages attached to these transactions, he accused Chinese business tycoons Feng Xin and Xu Yuzhi of Kuande Investment of using these so-called “brain-computer weapons” to torment employees, turning them into what he calls “puppets” or “tech-slaves.” Lezhi even suggested that the CEOs themselves were under the sway of these devices!
Crypto-Sleuths Track a Fortune in Transfers! 🕵️♂️💸
The ETH was sent to a burn address—a one-way ticket to digital oblivion where funds are destroyed forever. Lezhi’s actions have been traced by crypto-intelligence outfit Arkham, which uncovered that the total amount of ETH shifted to various addresses recently adds up to nearly $5 million! Along with the burned ETH, significant portions also went to the Ethereum Foundation, WikiLeaks, a new address, and a Coinbase account. Arkham noted:
“In total, the address has sent $4.95M to the burn address, Wikileaks, and the Ethereum Foundation this week. It has also transferred $825K ETH to a Coinbase Deposit and $273K ETH to a fresh address 0x2a6.”
The transfers started on February 10 and went on until February 17, with many transactions bearing this ominous message:
“There is a new mode of crime in which the victim is gradually deprived of his senses of desire until he becomes a complete slave to the digital machine, and if one day I become a victim of the final stage, I will leave the world.”
The Enigma of Lezhi’s Intentions Deepens! 🧩🔍
This peculiar and alarming act has caught folks’ attention due to its magnitude and outlandish claims. Lezhi’s explanation of “brain-computer weapons” controlling individuals is a tough pill to swallow, making the mystery even denser. The burning question is whether this alleged mind-control gizmo pushed him to transfer such a vast amount of Ethereum.
Regardless, sending the tokens to a burn address reduces ETH’s supply, potentially increasing its value. So, there’s that, at least!
