Netflix has unveiled a preview trailer for the forthcoming murder mystery show titled “Untamed“. This intriguing series features Eric Bana (known for his roles in Black Hawk Down and Troy) portraying a special agent who embarks on a quest to apprehend a notorious assassin.
The character-driven mystery-thriller series, titled “American Primeval” by Mark L. Smith and “The Marsh King’s Daughter” by Elle Smith, will debut on Netflix on July 17, 2025.
What happens in the Untamed teaser trailer?
In a recently released trailer for Untamed, Bana’s Kyle Turner expresses that visitors are here to discover. As an agent with the National Park Service Investigative Services Branch, Kyle is the central character in the upcoming series. The short clip establishes the atmosphere for what viewers can anticipate, as the story revolves around Kyle’s quest to find a murderer in Yosemite National Park and unveil the hidden mysteries shrouding the beautiful wilderness.
This character-focused mystery thriller revolves around Eric Inman (Bana), a special agent for the National Parks Service who enforces laws in nature’s expansive wilderness. The exploration of a gruesome murder sets Inman on a path towards uncovering hidden truths within the park, and confronting secrets from his own past.

Beyond Bana, the cast of Untamed also includes Sam Neill from Jurassic Park, who plays Paul Souter; Rosemarie DeWitt, known for La La Land, portrays Jill Bodwin; Lily Santiago, recognized in La Brea, takes on the role of Naya Vasquez; and Wilson Bethel, star of All Rise, is Shane Maguire.
In addition to his role in the drama, Bana was also a part of the team that oversaw its production as one of the executive producers. This position was shared with writers Smith and Smith. Other executive producers included John Wells from John Wells Productions, Erin Jontow, Todd Black and Tony Shaw from Escape Artists Entertainment, Steve Lee Jones (known for ‘You Don’t Know Jack’) from Bee Holder Productions, and Cliff Roberts (renowned for ‘The Midnight Sky’) from Syndicate Entertainment.
