Beginning in January 2025, Epic Games intends to motivate game developers even more to utilize Unreal Engine in their projects by introducing the Launch Everywhere program. This initiative encourages developers to launch their projects on Epic Games Store, Android, and other PC digital marketplaces concurrently. As a result, developers will benefit from paying a reduced royalty rate to Epic Games when they use Unreal Engine.

This represents the most recent endeavor by Epic Games to strengthen the number of developers on the Epic Games Store, simultaneously promoting the usage of Unreal Engine. As Unreal Engine 5 (UE5) gains traction as a preferred choice for high-definition game design, an increasing number of developers are adopting this engine for the development of significant new games. Notably, Remnant 2 and RoboCop: Rogue City have already utilized the engine, while The Axis Unseen and Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater are among the intriguing upcoming titles that will do the same.
Even so, it looks like Launch Everywhere will give developers even more reason to consider Unreal Engine in game design. Stay tuned for more Epic Games coverage right here at Shacknews.
