The movie featuring Pawan Kalyan, titled “The Call Him OG” or just “OG,” is scheduled to hit theaters on September 25, 2025. Unfortunately, due to Emraan Hashmi contracting dengue, filming will need to be paused again as the production team addresses this setback in their schedule.
As per a report by Bollywood Hungama, it’s been disclosed that Hashmi was shooting for They Call Him OG in Mumbai. While on set, he fell ill with symptoms similar to dengue, and subsequently, he was advised to undergo tests. These tests confirmed that he had contracted dengue.
Based on medical advice, the actor (Emraan) has been instructed to get adequate rest. According to reports, he has also communicated this need to the producers of the Pawan Kalyan film. In response, they have acknowledged his concerns and urged him to prioritize his health above all else. For the time being, the production of the film has been temporarily suspended.
Summarizing the findings, it appears the actor will need to take a week off to rest, with plans to return once he has fully recovered.
Title Characterized as: “They Know Him as OG” presents a gritty gangster action saga with Pawan Kalyan in the pivotal role. Directed by Sujeeth of Saaho fame, this motion picture narrates the story of a Mumbai street gangster who vanished years ago but later reappears to seek vengeance against his adversaries, promising a thrilling ride filled with action.
Led by Pawan Kalyan, this upcoming film features Emraan Hashmi as the principal villain, making his first appearance in Telugu films. Alongside them, actors such as Priyanka Mohan, Arjun Das, Prakash Raj, Subhalekha Sudhakar, Sriya Reddy, and several others will assume significant roles.
In more straightforward terms: Lastly, Emraan Hashmi starred in the action movie titled Ground Zero, helmed by Tejas Prabha Vijay Deoskar. Beyond that, you’ll also find him playing a significant role in G2, an eagerly anticipated spy action flick featuring Adivi Sesh as the lead character.
