Empuraan: Mohanlal starrer action flick to get a Telugu remake? Director drops a BIG hint; ‘I’m sure there are…’

In an exciting development for Malayalam cinema, the movie L2: Empuraan, directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran, has been a significant triumph. Since its debut, the film has garnered immense praise from viewers. Most recently, there’s been talk about whether this action-packed production might be remade in Telugu.

During a chat with Bollywood Bubble, the director (formerly an actor) mentioned that he might consider bringing stars such as Chiranjeevi and Salman Khan on board should L2: Empuraan ever be reimagined for the Telugu film industry.

According to what Prithviraj mentioned, the possibility of a Telugu remake hasn’t been decided yet, since it hinges on whether the potential actors are willing to accept the offer for the project.

On the other hand, it’s important to note that differently from Lucifer, which was the initial film in the series, Empuraan has been prepared for both dubbing and release in the Telugu language.

He mentioned, “I’m genuinely unsure… I’m at a loss. The decision lies entirely with them. However, I can confirm that, unlike Lucifer which came out in 2019, Empuraan will also be released as a Telugu movie.

Moving forward, Prithviraj announced that the film will also debut in the Telugu regions, such as Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, under the Sri Venkateswara Creations label. Furthermore, he suggested that a remake might not be essential because the original film, Empuraan, is already set for release.

Additionally, Prithviraj expressed his contentment, indicating that he wouldn’t mind at all if another director stepped up to cast these two actors in a Telugu adaptation of the action movie.

For those who might not be aware yet, the movie featuring Mohanlal has surpassed predictions in just a few hours after its premiere and has been warmly appreciated by viewers.
