Elon Musk claims Tesla Roadster 2 on track for 2025 deliveries

As a long-time Tesla enthusiast and follower of Elon Musk’s ambitious projects, I can’t help but feel both excited and frustrated by the latest update on the Tesla Roadster 2. The prospect of getting my hands on this electric sports car, with its impressive specifications and sleek design, has been a dream of mine since the first teaser back in 2014. I was among those who placed a pre-order way back in 2017, with an expected delivery date of 2020.

Tesla (TLSA) shared its Q2 2024 financial report recently, which showed a mix of outcomes. During the subsequent conference call, Elon Musk personally updated us that the Tesla Roadster 2 is expected to be delivered by 2025.

I’ve been eagerly anticipating the Tesla Roadster 2 since I first heard rumors of it back in 2014. According to Wikipedia, a prototype was finally unveiled at the end of a Tesla Semi event in 2017, and pre-orders were opened up with deliveries predicted for 2020. However, as we approach the five-year mark since that estimated delivery date, Musk now expects the first Roadster 2 models to be shipped.
