Initially, a disagreement between Elon Musk and well-known Twitch broadcaster Hasan Piker grew more intense as the official Assassin’s Creed X account entered the fray, poking fun at Musk’s questionable gaming skills.
A Feud Over Assassin’s Creed Shadows
The disagreement began when ex-game developer Grummz posted criticism on X on March 25, criticizing Ubisoft for sponsoring Hasan to promote Assassin’s Creed Shadows on Bluesky. Grummz found the partnership problematic and accused Ubisoft of financially supporting a streamer he called a “supporter of terrorist platforms,” referring to an interview Hasan had with a sympathizer of the Houthi group earlier this year.
Elon Musk swiftly joined the discussion, reacting to Grummz’s post with a straightforward comment regarding the streamer.
Hasan is a fraud

Minutes later, he followed up:
“Sell-out” would be more accurate.
Objectively, he is promoting a terrible game just for the money.

Hasan, known for standing firm against confrontations, swiftly responded. The streamer cast doubt on Elon Musk’s gaming honesty, pointing out past incidents where Musk admitted that someone boosted his Diablo 4 and Path of Exile 2 accounts. He didn’t hesitate to escalate the situation further. In a bold move, Hasan proposed a one-on-one duel in Elden Ring, vowing to defeat him.
Asmongold the streamer went as far as suggesting he would arrange the duel, emphasizing that both players should broadcast their gameplay to verify that Elon Musk was indeed controlling the game himself.

Assassin’s Creed’s Official Account Joins the Roast
Not only was Musk faced with the challenge of a duel, but Ubisoft also added insult to injury by mocking him as well.
Following Elon Musk’s criticism of Assassin’s Creed Shadows as a poor game, the official Assassin’s Creed X account responded sharply.
Elon Musk labeled Assassin’s Creed Shadows as a terrible game. In response, the official Assassin’s Creed X account came back with a sharp retort.
Is that what the guy playing your Path of Exile 2 account told you?

wording suggestion: In a flash, the reaction spread like wildfire, garnering applause from countless users who admired Ubisoft’s clever retort. Many couldn’t help but crack jokes, claiming that the comeback was so impressive it actually enticed them to purchase the game.
Will Musk Respond?
To date, there’s been no response from Elon Musk regarding the Assassin’s Creed team’s issue. Given his past tendencies to engage in disputes with both streamers and critics, it’s quite possible that he might weigh in on this controversy at some point.
In the meantime, there’s talk that Musk could enter the gaming industry by establishing his own game company, aiming to challenge Ubisoft. However, considering the recent gaming skirmish he faced, the path may prove challenging.
