Leaks suggest that a potential remake or remaster of the long-speculated The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion might be under development by Virtuos Games, a studio based in Singapore.
Reddit user Taurnil stumbled upon some recently uploaded images on the Virtuos Games website, by exploring a random part of it. He managed to access a WordPress folder filled with pictures labeled as “Elder Scrolls IV” and “Oblivion”, which had been added today (15th April).
By following Taurnil’s trail and gaining entry to that specific folder, I discovered that someone seems to have noticed the breach because the images in question can no longer be viewed, but their names still remain visible at this moment. I’ve reached out to Virtuos for a statement on the matter.
(Alternatively)
– Having tracked down Taurnil’s footsteps and opened the specified folder, it seems someone has detected the leak as the images in question are no longer viewable, but their names still appear. I’ve contacted Virtuos for comment on this issue.
For now, another individual asserts they’ve added some photos to Imgur – take a look at the one in my article’s header. Although these images appear trustworthy, there’s a slight chance they might be fabricated and uploaded for fun, so proceed with care. They depict several places like the Imperial City in Cyrodiil and an ablaze Oblivion gate, along with a formal title, “The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered.
Is this simply an enhanced version, or are we looking at a full-scale reimagining? Previous speculations hint that the revamped edition of Oblivion will bring substantial modifications to its 2007 RPG’s stealth, stamina, and blocking mechanics. If these rumors hold true, it seems like they’re not just boosting the resolution, but rather overhauling significant aspects of the game.
As a gaming enthusiast, I’m buzzing with excitement over the rumors swirling around the potential remake of Oblivion. Even a vague statement from Bethesda, hinting that they don’t have any official information yet, isn’t dampening my anticipation. If I were in their shoes, with an announcement trailer ready to roll, I’d consider dropping it early to keep the hype train going strong!
