Just a moment ago, Elden Ring marked its third year since release, and the open-world soulslike game is still captivating fresh crowds. It’s been officially confirmed by FromSoftware that Elden Ring has successfully reached a global sales milestone of 30 million units.
In a recent update on platform X, FromSoftware celebrated another sales achievement for Elden Ring. In their concise message, they expressed gratitude to all the gamers who have been enjoying the game since its launch in March 2022. With each passing day, Elden Ring not only surpasses its own record as FromSoftware’s top-selling title but also continues to set new benchmarks.
The strong sales of Elden Ring have been boosted by the upcoming release in 2024 of Shadow of the Erdtree expansion, offering a new region, fresh weapons, and numerous bosses to conquer. Notably, this month saw the announcement of Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition for the Nintendo Switch 2, which is expected to further increase sales when it becomes available.
Elden Ring remains one of the most successful games of the past ten years, and it’s set to launch a multiplayer-oriented spinoff titled Elden Ring: Nightreign next month (May). Following this release, FromSoftware plans to debut The Duskbloods exclusively on the yet-to-be-released Switch 2 in 2026.
