The Chinese mobile game titled “Pocket Monster: Remake,” which was a replica of the popular Pokemon series, has been hit by a substantial lawsuit from The Pokemon Company. This mobile game, also known as “The Pocket Journey,” “Pocket Monster Reissue” among others, was accused of heavily borrowing design aspects and visual elements from the renowned Pokemon franchise.

On their digital platform, creators of a popular mobile game issued a public apology for repeatedly violating The Pokemon Company’s intellectual property rights over the past ten years. Initially facing a lawsuit seeking compensation totaling approximately 107 million Chinese Yuan or $14,746,416 USD at the time, they have since resolved their disagreement through an undisclosed settlement agreement.

The creators of the unauthorized game admitted that their actions of copying copyrighted materials and engaging in unfair competition resulted in substantial financial losses for the original Pokémon Video Game owners and tarnished the reputation of the authentic games. In a heartfelt apology, they express remorse to TPC (The Pokémon Company) and other rights holders, as well as the multitude of players, consumers, and the general public.
