Actors Eddie Redmayne (“The Theory of Everything”), Tessa Thompson (“Dear White People”), and Patsy Ferran (A Streetcar Named Desire play) have been confirmed to star in the upcoming movie adaptation of Iddo Gefen’s short story “Debby’s Dream House”, entitled “Later the War“. The film is being produced by acclaimed director Charlie Kaufman, winner of an Oscar for his work on “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind”.

The main theme of the story revolves around a character who crafts dreams for others, yet eventually starts producing horrors in their lives instead. As of now, specifics concerning the film’s narrative and characters remain hidden.

Who is involved in Later the War?

In the future, Kaufman will pen and helm a movie titled The War, marking his return to feature-length directing since the Netflix thriller I’m Thinking of Ending Things in 2021. The production companies involved are Waypoint Entertainment, led by Ken Kao and Josh Rosenbaum, Brace Cove Productions (Sarah Green), and Steven Demmler. Additionally, Suraj Maraboyina’s 131 Pictures will provide financing for this project.

Redmayne’s recent appearance was on Peacock’s series “The Day of the Jackal,” earning him a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actor. He will continue his role in “The Day of the Jackal Season 2” and can next be seen in the conspiracy thriller film “Panic Carefully,” alongside Julia Roberts and Elizabeth. On the other hand, Thompson has a series of upcoming projects such as the Netflix crime drama miniseries “His & Hers,” co-starring Jon Bernthal. She is also set to star in Nia DaCosta’s dramatic movie “Hedda” and the comedy film “The Invite,” featuring Amy Adams and her “Avengers: Endgame” colleague Paul Rudd.
