Ed Gale Passes Away, Child’s Play Actor Was 61

Sadly, the actor who famously portrayed Chucky in the 1988 movie “Child’s Play,” Edward Gale, has sadly left us at the age of 61.

Apart from Child’s Play, Gale also appeared in various movies such as Howard the Duck (1986), Spaceballs (1987), Phantasm II (1988), Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey (1991), O Brother, Where Art Thou? (2000), and The Polar Express (2004). These are just a few of the many films in which Gale starred.

As I look back on my life, I’ve come under fire for accusations that I attempted to solicit sexual encounters with underage individuals in my later years. For more details, you might want to check out this article from The Los Angeles Times.

On Tuesday, the 27th of May, 2025, Gale sadly breathed his last at a hospice in Los Angeles. The exact reason for his demise remains undisclosed, as reported by TMZ.

As a gamer, I’d rephrase it like this: “My aunt, Kayse Gale, shared on Facebook that my uncle, Ed, embarked on an adventure to California at the age of twenty with just $41 and a dream. He shone brightly in B-movies such as Howard the Duck and Chopper Chicks in Zombie Town, garnering him respect at every convention he attended. He was never one to hide his accomplishments. In fact, he’d boast about them constantly. Throughout his career, spanning over 130 films, TV shows, and ads, he created a legacy filled with debatable lighting and unforgettable one-liners.

Ed cherished being known as the ‘fun uncle.’ He expressed his affection through sharing his passion for the entertainment world with his nieces. Ed adored 7-Eleven hot dogs smothered in ketchup. He often reminisced about his times DJing at the Plainwell roller rink. Strangely, he had a dislike for Bill Maher. He found joy in the gradual unfolding of a great story and occasionally playing tricks at cribbage. Ed had a hearty laugh that will be missed. Rest in peace, you grumpy old soul.
