Last year, EA Sports College Football 25 caused a stir in the sports gaming category, and now Electronic Arts aims to maintain the thrill by reintroducing another college sports simulation. Exciting news! EA has declared that they’re resurrecting their NCAA Basketball franchise.
EA Sports unveiled their latest college basketball game on platform X, showcasing a ball bearing the company’s emblem with the tagline “Bring the Madness. Time for a rematch.” This is an allusion to March Madness, previously known as the franchise name until it was renamed NCAA Basketball for its last two versions. The post incorporates the hashtag #CBB, hinting at another rebrand, now titled EA Sports College Basketball. Similarly, the NCAA Football series adopted the EA Sports College prefix when it was relaunched last year.
The most recent college basketball game developed by EA was NCAA Basketball 10 in 2009. Prior to that, EA produced basketball games under their NBA Live series, culminating with NBA Live 19. Ever since the success of EA Sports College Football 25 last year, there has been growing enthusiasm among fans for a return of NCAA Basketball.
