EA FC 25’s latest Gameplay ‘Deep’ Dive only lasted four minutes; we wanted more

As a long-time gamer and avid follower of the football gaming community, today has been quite the rollercoaster ride for me. I was eagerly anticipating the Fallout: London release this morning, but then came the surprise announcement of an EA FC 25 Gameplay Deep Dive at 4PM. I had an embargo to hit for Deathsprint 66 at the same time, so I tuned in with bated breath, hoping for some exciting insights into the upcoming football game.

Today has been quite an eventful day for me. This afternoon saw the release of Fallout: London. Shortly after, I had an embargo to meet for Deathsprint 66 at 4PM. My concern stemmed from the fact that an EA FC 25 Gameplay Deep Dive was also scheduled for the same hour. The deep dive turned out to be a fleeting moment, lasting barely enough time to boil a kettle.

The livestream chat was expectedly filled with people saying it how it is; “L.”

The “deep dive” presentation introduced Football Club Intelligence (FC IQ) and explored Career Mode before announcing Goalkeeper Playstyles as well. Prior to this, we were informed of this feature addition. Although I haven’t tried FIFA 25 myself, my colleagues have and they believe it revitalizes the EA Sports FC/FIFA series – making me optimistic too.

In this analysis, it would have been helpful to learn more details about EA FC 25. However, it’s possible that the company is saving information for gradual release in the upcoming weeks. Alternatively, there could have been an internal mistake or prank by someone involved in the presentation.

As a gamer, I wasn’t surprised to see some negative reactions in the comments section when the live stream ended abruptly. One comment read, “EA never fails to disappoint,” while another wrote, “I started laughing when she said ‘that’s it.’ No chance I’m buying that.”

Hopefully the game isn’t as disappointing for them as this trailer was.
