As a longtime FIFA fan who has played volleyball-inspired street football modes since their introduction in FIFA 20, I was taken aback when EA Sports announced that Volta mode would be replaced by Rush mode in FIFA 23. While I’m intrigued by the new features such as FC IQ, Player Roles, and Goalkeeper PlayStyles, it’s the removal of Volta mode that has left me feeling a bit nostalgic and disappointed.
