Actor Mark Addy participated in a conversation where he discussed the demise of his character, Evgeny Harkonnen, which occurred in the latest installment, “Twice Born,” that was just released.

According to ComingSoon’s earlier report, in Episode 4, Evgeny and Vayla, who returned to Harknonnen House for gaining access to the High Council of the Landsraad, clash dramatically with unexpected results. It is clear that Evgeny dislikes Vayla, but he accuses her of returning to the family merely to satisfy her own ambitions.

In this scene, Vayla counters Evgeny and his relatives by stating that she knows about the animosity the Harkonnens harbor against her. Abruptly, Evgeny experiences difficulty breathing, grabbing for his inhaler. However, instead of allowing him to use it, Vayla seizes it, effectively watching as her uncle suffers a prolonged and agonizing death.

Talking about the emotional moment filming Emily Watson as Vayla’s death scene, Mark Addy shared with The Direct, “It was both a pleasure and a tough scene, but a delightful experience overall. The scene itself symbolizes three decades of built-up resentment, and when you collaborate with an actor who brings so much to the table, it makes every difficult moment worthwhile.

Addy continued discussing Watson’s character, Vayla. He noted, “Valya’s readiness to allow her own uncle, who isn’t particularly kind-hearted, to perish at her side, reveals something about her true character.
