Dune: Awakening Release Date Set, Character Creator Out Now

Funcom officially disclosed the launch date for “Dune: Awakening” on a recent Thursday, and furthermore, they shared that enthusiasts can begin creating their in-game characters ahead of time.

When is the Dune: Awakening release date?

Dune: Awakening is set to launch on May 20, 2025. You can purchase it on PC through Steam for $49.99. A fresh trailer was also released alongside the announcement, offering a glimpse into the expansive depiction of Arrakis within the game.

In addition to revealing the release date for the game, Funcom has made the game’s character creation tool available for download on Steam right away. This free download comes with a benchmark mode as well, enabling players not only to create characters, but also to check if their computers are capable of running the game smoothly.

Characters made prior to the launch of Dune: Awakening in May can be transferred to the complete game upon release, and early adopters who download the character creator and performance test mode will receive a code for a unique in-game Frameblade knife skin as well.

If you’re planning to preorder the game “Dune: Awakening”, Funcom is giving out some additional in-game items as a bonus for early purchases. One of these perks includes the Terrarium of Muad’Dib, an in-game base decoration showcasing the desert mouse native to Arrakis.
