Funcom announced that its MMO survival game, Dune: Awakening, will incorporate both NVIDIA DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation and Razer’s advanced Chroma and Haptics technology at launch this year. The developer asserts that these new features significantly enhance immersion and performance in the game, taking it to a higher level.
Dune: Awakening will feature NVIDIA DLSS 4, and next-gen Razer Chroma integration
At CES, Funcom confirmed that NVIDIA’s recently unveiled DLSS 4 technology with Multi Frame Generation would be accessible at launch for its upcoming survival game. NVIDIA asserts that Multi Frame Generation can produce up to three extra frames for every frame traditionally rendered, thereby boosting frame rates by more than eight times compared to conventional rendering. This could potentially enable 4K resolution at a staggering 240 frames per second with full ray tracing on machines equipped with the forthcoming GeForce RTX 5090 graphics cards. You can witness DLSS 4 in action by checking out the comparison video of Dune: Awakening below.
In the game Dune: Awakening, Razer’s latest devices with synchronized lighting and haptic feedback, such as the Freyja HD Haptic Gaming Cushion and Kraken Pro Headset, are compatible. This means that players who wish to experience the sensation of a giant sandworm approaching can now do so.
According to Funcom, by combining the latest innovations from NVIDIA and Razer, they aim to elevate the immersion and performance of Dune: Awakening to unprecedented heights, creating a sensation that the most perilous planet in the cosmos is strikingly real.
2025 sees the arrival of Dune: Awakening on PC platforms initially, with versions for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S following later. If you’re excited about this upcoming title, don’t forget to add it to your Steam wishlist, and keep an eye out for sign-ups for the Closed Beta on the official game website.
75 games and applications will offer DLSS 4 compatibility upon the release of GeForce RTX 50 Series GPUs. Among them are highly-rated titles such as Alan Wake 2, Cyberpunk 2077, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, as well as new releases like Dune: Awakening, Doom: The Dark Ages, and Black State, each offering DLSS 4 support when their respective games become available.
