Funcom has unveiled Dune: Awakening, the highly-anticipated MMORPG inspired by Frank Herbert’s novels and Denis Villeneuve’s films, is set to host a massive beta weekend trial. The developers assert that this will be the biggest beta phase the game has experienced thus far.
When is the Dune: Awakening Large-scale Beta Weekend?
Over the period from May 9th to May 12th, we’re hosting a grand beta weekend for Dune: Awakening! This means that a substantial part of the forthcoming game will be accessible, including the initial 20 hours and almost all of Act 1 of the story. No Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) will be in effect, so players who wish to discuss their experiences or stream the game are free to do so without any restrictions.
Gamers who are enthusiastic about trying out Dune: Awakening during the upcoming beta weekend can easily apply for access via Steam at this moment. All they have to do is navigate to the game’s store page and click on the “Request Access” button beneath the “Join the Dune: Awakening Playtest” section towards the top of the page. Alternatively, gamers could secure a beta code during the Global LAN Party Broadcast happening on May 10. The company plans to distribute a significant number of codes – tens of thousands – during this event.
