Dune 3 Gets Official Title, Which Won’t Be Messiah

The official title for Dune 3 has been revealed, and it may be surprising to some fans.

Right now, Denis Villeneuve’s upcoming Dune movie is being made. This new movie is a continuation of the 2021 Dune and will also release in 2024 as Dune: Part Two. Once again, Timothée Chalamet will play the character Paul Atreides in these films.

Today, remarks from IMAX CEO Richard Gelfond sparked a buzz online when they suggested that the upcoming movie “Dune: Part Three” might be filmed completely using IMAX cameras. This would mark the second film to be shot this way, following Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey.

According to Variety’s report, Gelfond clarified that there was a misunderstanding regarding the film. While scenes from the movie will indeed be captured using IMAX cameras, it has been confirmed that the whole movie will not be in IMAX format.

Besides Chalamet, the currently confirmed cast for Dune: Part Three also features Zendaya playing Chani, Florence Pugh taking on the role of Princess Irulan, Jason Momoa as Duncan Idaho, Nakoa-Wolf Momoa as Leto II Atreides, and Ida Brooke portraying Ghanima Atreides.
