As an ardent admirer, I’m excitedly sharing my hopes for how my character, Princess Irulan, will evolve when I reprise the role in the eagerly awaited Dune 3, directed by Denis Villeneuve. In the climactic moments of last year’s Dune: Part Two, fans last saw me agreeing to Paul Atreides’ unexpected marriage proposal after his triumphant duel against Feyd-Rautha. Now, I eagerly anticipate diving deeper into Irulan’s complexities and exploring the intriguing journey her character will take in this upcoming installment.

What does Florence Pugh want in Dune 3?

In a recent chat, Pugh expressed her desire for a more significant part for Princess Irulan in Dune: Messiah than she had in the initial movie. It’s anticipated that filming for the third installment will begin around the summer season.

“I hope we see more of her. I want more cool outfits!,” Pugh said.

In the initial novel published in 1969, Paul’s legal wife, Irulan, did not give birth to any of his children because he remained devoted to Chani, who was the mother of his offspring. Although their relationship was tense, Irulan’s insights were respected by Paul as his advisor. The character was first portrayed by Virginia Madsen in David Lynch’s 1984 film, and Julia Cox played her role in the two miniseries of “The NeverEnding Story III.

In a follow-up to Dune: Messiah, Villeneuve will again take the director’s chair. Alongside Timothée Chalamet, Zendaya, and Jason Momoa reprising their roles as Paul Atreides, Chani, and Duncan Idaho respectively, there are reports suggesting that Robert Pattinson might be cast as Scytale, the antagonist. Additionally, it’s been hinted that Warner Bros. is searching for young talents to portray Paul and Chani’s children Leto and Ghanima, who will be portrayed as teenagers in the sequel.
