Duffer Brothers Share Stranger Things Season 5 Editing Update: ‘We’re Actually Ahead of Schedule’

At present, Matt and Ross Duffer are working through the final stages of production for Season 5 of “Stranger Things.” The Duffer Brothers are making good progress with the project, as reported.

In a recent interview at SCAD TVfest, as reported by Variety, the Duffers shared that they are currently concentrating on creating visual effects sequences, a process that began in January. Things are progressing smoothly, and interestingly enough, they are currently ahead of schedule, which is unusual for them.

Does Stranger Things Season 5 have a release date?

According to Netflix, Stranger Things Season 5 is set for release in the year 2025, and Matt confirmed this planned release date as well.

Matt stated, “It’s going to happen this year, I assure you.” He added, “We’re right on schedule.

Production for Stranger Things Season 5 concluded in December, but a release date for the remaining eight episodes hasn’t been set yet. The creators, the Duffers, are uncertain if Netflix will split the season into several parts like they did with Season 4, where seven episodes were released in May 2022 and the remaining two were streamed in July 2022.
