A&E Network has shared that they are working on a new series titled “Duck Dynasty: The Comeback“. The network has given approval for two seasons of the program, with each season consisting of 20 episodes in total. Nevertheless, recent news suggests that Phil Robertson, the head of the featured family, will not appear in the upcoming “Duck Dynasty reunion series“, leaving fans curious about the reasons behind this decision.
In this text, I’ll share both the reason Robertson won’t rejoin for the Duck Dynasty reboot and the premier details of Duck Dynasty: The Revival.
Here’s the explanation behind Robertson not returning for the reboot along with the premiere information about Duck Dynasty: The Revival.

Why is Phil Robertson not returning for the Duck Dynasty reboot?
Back in the years spanning 2012 to 2017, I was hooked on the hit reality show, “Duck Dynasty,” which aired on A&E. This series centered around none other than Phil Robertson and various family members who were the brains behind the thriving hunting and outdoor company, Duck Commander, based in West Monroe, Louisiana.
During Duck Dynasty: The Revival, focus will shift towards Willie Robertson and his wife Korie, along with their children and grandchildren. Previous cast members such as Si Robertson and Miss Kay will make appearances in the revamped series, although Phil will not be present.
In December 2013, A&E announced they had suspended Phil indefinitely due to his derogatory remarks about same-sex relationships and African Americans. However, after facing criticism from certain fan groups, the network rescinded the suspension without affecting any of the episodes (as reported by The Hollywood Reporter).
It seems like Phil Robertson won’t be part of the reboot, and it’s likely due to his recent diagnosis with Alzheimer’s disease. Interestingly, his name isn’t included in the list of cast members announced for the revival by A&E.
When will Duck Dynasty: The Revival premiere?
It’s still undisclosed when the comeback of Duck Dynasty: The Revival will take place, but A&E has confirmed its airing on their channel during the summer season of 2025.
For “Duck Dynasty: The Revival,” the storyline goes like this: “As their family empire extends beyond duck hunting, Willie and Korie will continue to bring laughter and family-oriented entertainment. They’ll face challenges in planning Duck Commander’s future, watch as their children deal with marriage, parenthood, and running their own businesses, all while preserving the family tradition.” (A&E)
