Universal Pictures recently unveiled a fresh trailer for Blumhouse’s upcoming mystery-thriller, which stars Emmy nominee Meghann Fahy. This intriguing movie is set to hit theaters on April 11.

What happens in the Drop trailer?

In the video, Fahy’s character embarks on a long-awaited date following years as a widow. Regrettably, this initial romantic encounter takes an unexpected turn when she encounters a sinister individual in a mask, who holds her son hostage and forces her to meet his dangerous requirements.

The movie “Drop” is helmed by Christopher Landon, who’s known for directing “Happy Death Day.” The script was penned by Jillian Jacobs and Chris Roach. Actors such as Brandon Sklenar, Violett Beane, Jacob Robinson, Reed Diamond, Gabrielle Ryan, Jeffery Self, Ed Weeks, and Travis Nelson are part of the cast. Michael Bay, Jason Blum, Brad Fuller, and Cameron Fuller serve as producers, while Sam Lerner assumes the role of executive producer.

The movie revolves around Violet, a woman who’s been single for years, going on a date with Henry at an expensive restaurant. To her surprise, he turns out to be more appealing and attractive than she anticipated. However, their connection starts to sour as Violet becomes increasingly annoyed and then frightened by a series of mysterious messages on her phone. These messages warn her not to reveal anything and follow instructions, or else the hooded figure she sees on her home security cameras will harm her young son and baby sitter. With no choice but to comply, Violet must carry out each instruction to ensure the safety of her loved ones. The final command? Kill Henry.
