Dream Debut For Spinx – MOUZ Win PGL Cluj-Napoca 2025

The path to this win has carried a special significance for the three main players, Dorian “xertioN” Berman, Ádám “torzsi” Torzsás, and Jimi “Jimpphat” Salo. Although they had previously achieved victories in studio events with their former in-game leader Kamil “siuhy” Szkaradek, an arena trophy had always been out of reach – until today.

A Dominant Victory for MOUZ

The highly anticipated best-of-five Grand Final commenced on Dust 2, a map chosen by Falcons but largely controlled by MOUZ. An 8-4 lead on the defensive side laid the groundwork for an unforeseen first map win for the Hamburg team. Yet, MOUZ struggled on their own pick, Mirage, securing only two rounds as T-side and losing the map 4-13, thus allowing Falcons to level the series at 1-1.

NIKO THE KING OF CONNECTOR

As a dedicated fan, I can confidently say that among all maps played, Nuke stood out as the most competitive. Taking on the CT role, MOUZ gained an impressive 9-3 lead. The Falcons showcased incredible resilience, with NiKo delivering a stunning ace in the pistol round. However, torzsi’s pivotal 1v1 clutch not only halted their momentum but also allowed MOUZ to narrowly clinch a thrilling 13-11 victory.

In the end, the ancient map concluded with MOUZ triumphantly securing the championship title, winning a close battle 13-9. During this decisive match, NiKo, a key player throughout the tournament who even received MVP recognition, experienced some challenges. These struggles were particularly evident in the initial skirmishes, where he ended up with a record of 2:9 and was frequently outsmarted in the midfield. Following the match, NiKo openly admitted his difficulties, expressing regret over his performance during the pivotal moments.

Spinx’s Perfect Debut and Brollan’s Redemption

In this tournament, Lotan “Spinx” Giladi made his first appearance with MOUZ after joining the roster following siuhy’s benching a month earlier. Spinx effortlessly fit into the team dynamics, making substantial contributions to their victories and alleviating any doubts about the lineup adjustment.

Triumphantly, we claim the title of champions at PGL Cluj-Napoca following a hard-fought 3-1 win against the Falcons. Many doubted us initially, but our unwavering determination kept us focused on our objective. A huge shout-out to all MOUZ fans for their unyielding backing! Today we revel in victory; tomorrow, we prepare for more challenges!

Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin, taking over as leader despite doubts, guided MOUZ to their historic win – a first arena trophy for them since DreamHack Masters Malmö 2019.

“I’m incredibly happy. I’ve been working tirelessly for this moment, proving to myself and others that I can lead and elevate the team. The past weeks have been exhausting, but this triumph makes it all worthwhile.” – Brollan

Even though they won the championship, MOUZ’s T-side performances on Mirage and Nuke have sparked some doubts due to their meager round counts: just two rounds on Mirage and four rounds on Nuke.

Or simpler: The championship win notwithstanding, MOUZ struggled in their T-side games on Mirage and Nuke, managing only a few rounds (2 on Mirage, 4 on Nuke).

During their game on Mirage, NiKo and René “TeSeS” Madsen’s outstanding defensive skills played a part in some of the challenges they faced; however, the team acknowledges that there are aspects requiring refinement as they progress further.

Falcons Fall Short but Show Promise

For Team Falcons, coming in second place, particularly following a difficult 2024 season, symbolizes an extraordinary comeback. Their journey to the final was marked by impressive wins against Eternal Fire and FaZe in the playoffs. Although the end result of the Grand Final was disheartening, the team’s performance throughout the tournament, fueled by NiKo’s exceptional, MVP-caliber contributions, hints at a bright future for the refreshed lineup.
