Today, March 21st, the Netflix premiere of “Dragon,” starring Pradeep Ranganathan, has arrived! Guided by director Ashwath Marimuthu, this film distinguishes itself with an intriguing and enjoyable narrative. The plot revolves around Ragavan, a student pursuing engineering, who climbs the ladder through deceit only to confront the repercussions of his choices later on.
After Dragon’s initial digital release, its title unveiling left numerous people impressed by its ingenious approach. The direction of Ashwath Marimuthu has been applauded for skillfully interweaving humor and emotions. Leon James’ music adds depth to the movie’s atmosphere, while Pradeep Ranganathan’s acting performance is reminiscent of a young Dhanush, earning praise for his authentic on-screen charisma.
In this film, Anupama Parameswaran beautifully plays the character of Keerthi, who is Ragavan’s love interest. Palak Lalwani gives a powerful performance in a crucial secondary role. Mysskin brings an extra layer to the movie as he portrays the college principal, and his scenes with Pradeep are particularly impactful. George Maryan has also been praised for his emotional portrayal of Ragavan’s father.
In the film, I play a significant part alongside Gautham Menon and K. S. Ravikumar, whose contributions are truly noteworthy. Harshath Khan, as ‘Kutty Dragon,’ skillfully adds humor to the mix with his impeccable comic timing. VJ Siddhu’s portrayal of Anbu, Ragavan’s friend, has been warmly accepted by audiences, and Ivana seamlessly blends into the narrative with her cameo. Lastly, Director Ashwath Marimuthu makes a memorable appearance in the film as well.
Some audience members found the movie’s running time of approximately 2 hours and 35 minutes to be somewhat prolonged, and they felt that certain scenes asked for a suspension of disbelief. Nevertheless, Dragon has been generally praised as a comprehensive entertainment experience.
