Actor Dulquer Salmaan has confirmed that he’ll take on the lead role in an upcoming Malayalam movie following his 2023 project “King of Kotha.” The title of this new film will be disclosed to fans on March 1, 2025, at exactly 5 PM, as shared by Dulquer himself in a recent update.
Switching to his account (previously Twitter), the actor uploaded a post titled “It’s Time” accompanied by a picture of a gambling chip being burned. The upcoming film, rumored to be helmed by renowned director Nahas Hidhayath, is anticipated to be an action-packed extravaganza.

In 2023, Dulquer Salmaan played the leading character in the Malayalam film “King of Kotha.” This was a gangster action movie that marked the directorial debut of Abhilash Joshiy. The story revolved around Kotha Raju, also known as Raju Madrassi.
In my past, I was infamously recognized as a haughty and troublesome gangster in my very own town. However, life took an unexpected turn, forcing me into exile. For a while, my whereabouts remained elusive to all. Yet, the call of home proved irresistible, and I found myself back on familiar streets with one goal: to rectify past wrongs and reconnect with those I hold dear.
The movie delved into the incidents that caused his departure and the hurdles he encountered upon coming back. Although it boasted a talented ensemble of actors like Shabeer Kallarakkal, Prasanna, Gokul Suresh, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Nyla Usha, and others in pivotal positions, the film flopped at the box office and garnered unfavorable feedback.
Following his 2023 endeavor, Dulquer Salmaan will be back on the Malayalam screen for his 40th film project. In the near future, you might recall that he recently appeared as the main actor in the film titled Lucky Baskhar.
In simpler terms, the Telugu-language crime drama, helmed by Venky Atluri, showcases a middle-class banker character who finds himself embroiled in financial fraud due to financial struggles at home.
Moving ahead, Dulquer Salmaan will take on leading roles in upcoming movies such as Kaantha and Aakasam Lo Oka Tara.
