At last, Focus Features has unveiled a sneak peek for the Downton Abbey 3, marking the third and concluding chapter of the esteemed period drama film series inspired by Julian Fellowes’ hit television show. The grand finale of Downton Abbey is set to premiere in cinemas on September 12, 2025.
The movie portrays the Crawley family and their servants as they move into the 1930s. As this cherished group attempts to guide Downton Abbey towards a promising future, they find themselves adapting to change and embarking on a fresh phase.

The film offers a sneak peek into the upcoming conclusion, where the Crawley family is seen bidding farewell to their cherished abode. The series will bring back familiar faces like Hugh Bonneville playing Robert Crawley, Michelle Dockery as Mary, Elizabeth McGovern as Cora Crawley, Laura Carmichael as Edith, Jim Carter as Carson, Phyllis Logan as Elsie, Robert James-Collier as Thomas, Joanne Froggatt as Anna, Allen Leech as Tom, Penelope Wilton as Isobel, Lesley Nicol as Beryl, Michael Fox as Andy, Raquel Cassidy as Phyllis, Brendan Coyle as John Bates, Kevin Doyle as Joseph Moseley, Harry Hadden-Paton as Bertie, Sophie McShera as Daisy, and Douglas Reith as Dickie. Additionally, Paul Giamatti and Dominic West will reappear in their roles from Seasons 3 and 4, respectively, as Harold Levinson (Cora Grantham’s brother) and Guy Dexter (from the 2022 movie).

The upcoming conclusion to the beloved series Downton Abbey is being helmed by Emmy-nominated director Simon Curtis, with Julian Fellowes penning the script. In this next installment, we’ll meet new cast members such as Joely Richardson, Alessandro Nivola, Simon Russell Beale, and Arty Froushan. The storyline is expected to pay a heartfelt tribute to the late Maggie Smith.
