Apple TV+ has revealed the initial images and premiere date for “Dope Thief”, a future drama starring Oscar nominee Brian Tyree Henry, which is adapted from the book by the same name written by Dennis Tafoya.
The plot of Dope Thief revolves around two old friends from Philadelphia who are known for their mischievous ways. They devise a plan to impersonate Drug Enforcement Administration agents and rob an unidentified house in the countryside. However, things take a turn for the worse when they unwittingly draw attention to “the largest undetected drug trafficking route along the Eastern Seaboard,” making their seemingly straightforward scam much more hazardous.
When is the Dope Thief release date?
The crime drama adaptation is set to premiere worldwide on Apple TV+, starting with the first two episodes on March 14, 2025. After that, fresh episodes will be released weekly on Fridays until April 25.
