After a series of job cuts affecting key Microsoft developers at studios like Blizzard, Turn 10, Halo Studios, Playground Games, Rare, Treyarch, Infinity Ward, Raven Software, and others, it was confirmed that Romero Games staff have been dismissed.
On social media, Brenda Romero revealed that our game’s funding by the publisher was unexpectedly terminated, together with various undisclosed upcoming projects from other studios. Previously, it had remained confidential that Microsoft was backing Romero Games’ forthcoming project.
