Dominoday Is Back! But Virtually And In Oblivion

As a devoted fan, I’ve surely found myself immersed for countless hours in the captivating worlds crafted by Bethesda. And let me tell you, their games are not just about exploring vast landscapes and unraveling intricate stories; they also offer a playground for some mind-blowing physics manipulation. One particularly ingenious player has demonstrated just how far these mechanics can be stretched to the absolute brink of possibility.

Fun In A Slightly Different Way

In the re-imagined version of “The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion,” you’ll find endless entertainment by tossing objects (even people!) about, cluttering up your residence with knickknacks, or leading goods to precede you.

“This could prove beneficial if, despite being fully prepared, you don’t want to forget something when leaving.” User Muaxha03 demonstrates the versatility of this feature; however, it may not always be straightforward or quick to use.

Domino Day In Oblivion?

Following other users posting the video without acknowledging its original creator, Muaxha03 chose to share it on Reddit himself, displaying his impressive work and demonstrating the potential within the game.

He set up a few books (and a sword) in the Imperial City and lets them fall one after the other.

Muaxha has clarified that no modifications were used in this instance. Instead, he placed the books using the game’s console command, rather than discovering them naturally.

He also deactivated the non-player characters since it would be quite exasperating to have the infamous and sometimes dimwitted town dwellers incessantly wrecking everything.

Despite his persistent efforts at saving, there were occasional issues like bugs and glitches that couldn’t be totally avoided. As such, he needed to occasionally fix certain spots here and there. It seems this task took him roughly 6 to 7 hours, quite impressive indeed!

Physics Make The Fun Almost Limitless

Bethesda’s physics engine has brought on some chuckles before, as seen in games like Fallout 3, 4, and New Vegas (where you can even carry a crate with you), Skyrim, or Oblivion: it’s always amusing to toss objects around.

Lastly, a heads-up: If Khajiits, the feline folks in Oblivion, aren’t your cup of tea, it’s quite simple to pick them up by their tail, making them almost weightless. You can even carry their remains with you. Rest assured, there’s no need for us to pass judgment on why you might choose to do this!
