Dolph Lundgren Shares Health Update, Reveals He’s ‘Finally Cancer Free’ After Terminal Diagnosis

As a gamer who has lived through countless battles and survived the most challenging levels, I find Dolph Lundgren‘s story to be nothing short of extraordinary. The man is a true warrior, not just on screen but also off it. His journey with cancer, which he faced head-on like an action hero, is truly inspiring.

9 years after initially being diagnosed with cancer, Dolph Lundgren happily announced on social media that he is now cancer-free and in good health.

What did Lundgren say in his statement?

On Thanksgiving, Lundgren shared an Instagram video, announcing that he is now completely free of cancer. Overjoyed with optimism for what lies ahead, the renowned actor filmed this message from UCLA, where his final treatment was aimed at eradicating the last remaining tumor.

In the video, Lundgren stated, “I’m currently at UCLA, preparing to enter for my final round of treatment to eliminate that lingering tumor. Since my body is now free of cancer cells, I’m excited for this upcoming procedure. It’s been a challenging journey, but it’s taught me the importance of living in the present and cherishing each moment of life – that’s the key to moving forward.

In 2023, it was disclosed by Lundgren that eight years ago, in 2015, he had been diagnosed with kidney cancer. After undergoing surgery, he remained symptom-free for five years. However, in 2020, more tumors were discovered in his kidney and liver. The actor was informed that the cancer was terminal, and he was given a prognosis of only 2-3 years left to live.

In spite of the original diagnosis, Lundgren opted to consult further with specialists at the UCLA Medical Center. Subsequently, he underwent a novel treatment, leading to a remarkable 90% reduction in the size of his tumors.
