Does Bold and the Beautiful have a mystery killer on the loose? (Speculation)

As a dedicated fan of The Bold and the Beautiful for over two decades, I have seen my fair share of twists and turns in the lives of its beloved characters. The recent double murder mystery involving Tom and Hollis has left me utterly bewildered and intrigued.

The passing of Tom and Hollis has left a significant impact on “The Bold and the Beautiful.” In this intense summer storyline, Sheila is now under police investigation following the shocking double homicide.

Fervent supporters might question how Kimberlin Brown’s reintroduced character could be responsible for both crimes, given her highly anticipated comeback. With Brown’s iconic villain role revived and meticulously orchestrated by showrunner Bradley Bell, it seems unlikely that the plan was to convict and imprison her character shortly after. This illogical sequence of events raises intriguing possibilities for more reasonable plot developments.

Jack Finnegan suddenly reappears

Last year, Jack, who is Finn’s disgraced father, has gone into hiding. Previously incarcerated Sheila had to communicate with him via outdated email methods.

During their encounter in the jail visitation room, it came to light that Jack was an accomplished criminal defense lawyer, considered among the elite in California. Regrettably for Sheila, Jack declined her request for his representation, but ultimately, the charges against her were dismissed due to a corrupt judge’s intervention.

Discovering that Jack was the one who killed Tom or Hollis is a simple matter. In the series, Ted King portrays Finn’s father, but he is an infrequently appearing character who seems insignificant. It was plausible to assume that he, rather than Bill, could be Luna’s father when her paternity was uncertain. Jack’s infidelity with Sheila led him to have a child, Finn, in secret.

Turning to Penelope Poppy Nozawa

With just the information Li shared about Poppy’s disreputable sister, it wouldn’t have been difficult to consider Poppy as a potential suspect. The viewers would also take into account Tom’s altercation with Poppy prior to his death and Romy Park as a prime suspect. (Or, With what was known about Poppy’s questionable sibling from Li, it wasn’t hard to view Poppy as a possible suspect. Adding Tom’s run-in with Poppy before his demise and considering Romy Park as a top contender for the suspect list.)

Tom informed Poppy that he is Luna’s father, but she strongly objected to this claim. Li carried out a DNA test to confirm the relationship, so unless Naomi Matsuda’s character was hiding the truth or made an error during the test in Bill’s house with all present, Tom’s declaration appears to be untrue.

Tom and Poppy’s romantic past, marked by Tom’s brief stint as a famous singer and drug use, may explain why fans perceive him as a danger to Poppy. This association could have led fans to harm Tom, causing his downfall. However, it is puzzling why Poppy would want to harm Hollis if the same person was responsible for both deaths.

An unexpected killer in or out of Los Angeles?

Based on my experience as a crime novel enthusiast and having watched countless detective shows, I can tell you that the unfolding mystery around Hollis and the backpack is shrouded in uncertainty. From what we know, it’s unclear if Hollis confided in anyone else apart from Sheila about discovering Tom’s backpack. Additionally, we don’t have any information on whether he revealed the contents of those rubber-banded envelopes or not.

As a seasoned detective with years of experience under my belt, I’ve seen countless cases where seemingly obvious clues hide deeper complexities. In this particular case, it appeared that Poppy’s name or some reference to her was present on the envelope addresses. However, what intrigued me was the uncertainty surrounding other potential names or individuals involved. For instance, Li’s reaction when Sheila mentioned the backpack Hollis found was quite telling. Her surprise raised questions about who Hollis may have interacted with during the last scene we saw him alive. The possibility of multiple individuals with connections to this case is a common occurrence in my line of work, and I’ve learned that no detail, no matter how seemingly insignificant, should be overlooked.

Based on my experience as a seasoned detective, I strongly believe that Li’s conviction that Sheila killed both men could be deeply rooted in the past transgressions committed against her by Brown. From what I have gathered from our investigation and my own observations, it seems plausible that Brown’s actions towards Finn, Steffy, and Li herself might have created a profound sense of anger and vengeance within Li, leading her to suspect Sheila with unwavering certainty.

In L.A., she’s merely one suspect among many who might turn out to be the hidden assassin. It’s essential to make sure Mike Guthrie remains imprisoned, as his devotion to Sheila could lead him to commit unspeakable acts.

A potential avenger for the woman, Sugar, who was fatally defended against by Steffy and bears a resemblance to Sheila, could be the hidden culprit behind the murders of Tom and Hollis. This unidentified character has not been introduced in the story before and might seek revenge by framing Sheila as the suspect.

There are numerous characters from past soaps and current residents of LA that viewers might find intriguing in this summer thriller.
