Disney Branded Television and BBC have at last revealed that the new season of “Doctor Who” is set to release, marking the next chapter in this long-standing sci-fi series. The upcoming season will again see Ncuti Gatwa from Sex Education and Barbie fame stepping into the role as the Fifteenth Doctor.
In the official summary, it’s stated that ‘The Doctor encounters Belinda Chandra and embarks on an extraordinary journey aimed at returning her to Earth.’ However, a mysterious entity is hindering their attempt to return home, forcing the TARDIS crew to confront challenges, adversaries, and horrors of unprecedented scale.
When is the Doctor Who Season 2 release date?
Doctor Who’s second season is set to start airing on Disney+ at 12:00 a.m. PDT / 3:00 a.m. EDT on Saturday, April 12th. In the UK, it will be broadcasted on BBC and BBC iPlayer simultaneously. Each new episode from this eight-part season will follow weekly, with Varada Sethu portraying Belinda Chandra and Millie Gibson as Ruby Sunday leading the latest storyline.
