Doctor Strange 2: Elizabeth Olsen on if Reshoots Altered Wanda’s Fate

As a dedicated admirer, I’m eagerly sharing some exciting updates on Elizabeth Olsen and her character, Wanda Maximoff, in the upcoming “Doctor Strange 2.” During a chat about her latest project, The Assessment, she mentioned that she wasn’t involved in the reshoots for the movie.

What really caught my attention was when she disclosed that she had an idea to propose to Marvel! This revelation gives us a tantalizing hint about the future of Scarlet Witch and potentially her reappearance in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Elizabeth Olsen reveals whether she was in Doctor Strange 2’s reshoots

As a gamer putting on my Scarlet Witch cosplay, I’ve got some exclusive news to share! During our chat with The Playlist about Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Elizabeth Olsen revealed that she wasn’t part of the reshoots. Instead, I was deep in the grips of Love and Death, my HBO limited series. So, whatever you see on the big screen is what was originally filmed. There were indeed reshoots, but they didn’t touch upon my character’s journey as the Scarlet Witch; the main shoot covered that part thoroughly, and no changes were made during additional photography.

She made clear that the team had always intended for her characterization of Wanda Maximoff to be as a villain since the beginning. “It was an intriguing twist, but one I was eager to embrace and truly savor rather than approach cautiously,” Olsen stated. “I found it appealing. I saw it as a tantalizing chance.

According to recent news, the additional filming centered around refining the Illuminati roster and an updated opening sequence. Originally, Scarlet Witch was depicted decapitating Earth-616’s Karl Mordo in a scene that was eventually deleted. Director Sam Raimi and screenwriter Michael Waldron commenced work on the movie without having watched WandaVision prior.

When asked about Wanda’s future in the MCU, Olsen revealed an idea she proposed to Marvel. “You see, if I were to envision my ideal version of Wanda, it would be set decades later when I’m much older, with a huge white wig and a face full of wrinkles, reminiscent of Tracy Ullman,” she explained. “Imagine finding me like some sort of creature, and that’s how I envision Wanda’s next adventure.

She went on to say, “What I’m proposing is something I’ve had in mind for a while, as it sounds like an exciting prospect. To put it simply, I’ve been thinking about experiencing this myself. Now, in one of the comics she grows old rather swiftly, and those are the scenes that immediately pop up in my mind because I haven’t actually done it yet.
