During its theatrical release on June 20, 2025, it garnered a decent response at the box office. The gripping narrative centers around a father’s desperate quest to find his child, who was mistakenly swapped at birth.

DNA OTT Verdict
Many viewers appeared to find both the concept and narrative of the film engaging, and they stayed captivated right up until the very end.
Besides the compelling storyline, it’s the outstanding acting performances that have truly captured audience interest, leaving viewers with the impression that each actor gave their all.
Although DNA has achieved commercial success, it is not widely perceived by many online users as delivering a commercially sold, partially developed storyline in its entirety.
Admittedly, I’ve found myself utterly captivated by this masterpiece, but I can’t ignore the murmurs from fellow fans. The latter half seemed to drag on a bit, feeling sluggish and lacking energy compared to the opening acts. The climactic scene, which usually sends shivers down my spine, appeared to arrive late in the game, leaving me yearning for more tension and suspense.
As a result, it makes it overly stretchy towards the end, with many not liking the screenplay.
Alternatively, some people have praised the film for its deep emotional content and its daring approach to the topic it explores.

For those not familiar, the movie is crafted by Nelson Venkatesan as both writer and director. It’s a production shared by Jayanthi Ambethkumar and S Ambethkumar, working together under the Red Giant Movies label.
